Kina is a self taught artist born and raised in Mount Fletcher a small town on the edges of the Eastern Cape province the hills that scatter along the Drakensberg mountains, currently residing in Bloemfontein. She passed her matric year in Ugie High School, later graduated on her architectural draughting studies at Qualitas Career Academy in the Free State and currently working as a professional Draughtsman at Roodt Architects.

Few months in the city of roses, Kina had discovered the love she continued growing for the arts, she believed it helped her with freedom of expression. Her work is primarily inspired by the experiences of human existence and expressions of her own feelings and emotions, also inviting the viewer to have their own subjective experience and interpretation in the process. She gives her art life using charcoal, acrylic and pencil on paper, canvas or hardboard as primary mediums depending on each individual piece. Black is the main theme of her work, not only because of the works using black paint but also the metaphors that arise from black the colour and the depiction of black culture as a strong-willed and determined character. Her art is a life journey depicting a variety of captured moments where you see all these issues being attended to in one single piece. Her art works have later been sold through the Work Of Art & Pipeline Art Gallery silent auction back in 2019, Johannesburg to name a few. She has also collaborated with Ouéso Déco, a France deco store specialising in art prints as of 2021 and recently viewed her work at Black Anchor's Exhibitions, V.Moled's Sin & Paint Sessions, the Radioactive Bog, Oliewenhuis Art Museum for the new breed art prize in Bloemfontein, inaugural Clarens Arts Festival, Architects as Artists by the Pretoria Institute for Architecture in Pretoria and PEVS in Port Elizabeth. Recently added to the catalog is a garment collection which aims to capture moments of a canvas into a fashionable look and feel moment. A community where how we look is a resemblance of how we feel.
